About Bram Barouh

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Mindfulness Teacher based in Los Angeles. My work is rooted in years of mindfulness and meditation practice — which cultivates the capacity to be with a wide range of internal experience, and relational psychotherapy - where emotional presence is no longer practiced in isolation, but lived and explored in relationship.

My clinical orientation is relational, experiential, and informed by modern psychoanalytic theory. I think of psychological suffering not only as something that exists within an individual, but as something shaped and maintained in relationship. Rather than standing outside emotional and relational dynamics, I work from within them — carefully attending to what is happening between us in the present moment.

I work with individual adults, couples, and groups in person and online. I specialize in interpersonal process groups, where clients have an opportunity to engage more authentically, experiment interpersonally, and create more meaningful, intimate relationships. I am a current member of the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles and served as its Outreach Chair in 2024 and 2025 where I promoted the benefits of group work to organizations and individuals throughout the city.

The work we do together is not about techniques or symptom management. We pay close attention to our emotional experience as it unfolds — to patterns of connection, avoidance, longing and vitality all which reveal themselves naturally within the therapeutic relationship.
